Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking tourism Entry Numbers United States

NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for arrivals of tourists to Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists in July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner.  נווה פריצקי "It is thrilling to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number in 2019," he stated. "The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we were celebrating record number of Israeli tourism entries each month.

Not far behind the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourism numbers in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,600 in August.

Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) stated that "it is exciting to watch how Canada's tourist to Israel is rebounding." We are close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more at home when they travel abroad.
