NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.
"It is so thrilling to see yet another increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers for the year 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our number one market for Israel's inbound tourism. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. We are thrilled to witness such a positive shift, and we expect this trend to last for many months and years."
In line with the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May has seen more than 600,000.
